Christchurch Pre-school Dartford is a pack-away setting that has been established since 2002 carrying on a tradition of providing a local community-based play school on the premises for many decades and generations.
The caring team is dedicated to treating all children equally. Promoting a culture of equality and inclusion, working together to create an environment of ‘I wonder?’ let’s explore? challenging the children to ask why? We believe every child can shine.
All members of the team have Enhanced DBS certificates. We regularly update our paediatric first aid certificates. We attend relevant training to extend and refresh our knowledge, like the children we are lifelong learners, always excited to learn something new.
The setting is registered with OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education) who make visits to the group to inspect our standards in Health, Safety and Education. For our last inspection the setting received Outstanding in all areas. This is the highest grade possible and the Team are very proud to have been given this award. We maintain a good working relationship with the local authority and other professional agencies who may be involved in the care of children. This ensures that any child attending our setting who has additional needs, receive a multi-agency approach to ensure that those needs are met and families feel supported by a team.
The Pre-school has good links with local primary schools, and work closely to ensure smooth transitions from pre-school to school.
We are a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance which is a National Educational Charity supporting high quality learning experiences for young children and their families.
