Summary of key findings: This provision is outstanding

Managers are passionate and committed to developing the whole staff team. The strong and respectful relationships that staff have developed provide children with excellent role models of how to treat one another with kindness and respect.

Staff have developed very strong partnerships with local primary schools and gain feedback to meet the needs of all children. Children make regular visits to the schools, and teachers and professionals visit the pre-school to meet the children.

The children are excited to arrive at the pre-school. Their behaviour is exemplary and they remind each other how to stay healthy and help one another. Children have strong relationships with their key persons and are encouraged to be independent in all aspects of their personal care to help develop resilience and confidence for school.

Managers monitor children’s progress meticulously. They have developed an accurate assessment system which means that children who may need extra challenges or support are identified very quickly. All children, including those who speak English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities make excellent progress.

All staff have high expectations of children, they plan a wide range of enriching activities that quickly engages children and offers them opportunities to gain exceptional skills in problem solving and perseverance.
